IndieComicsTracker.com Podcast

Over the weekend, I was a guest on the IndieComicsTracker.com Podcast where I spoke with host Marcel Lewin about my webcomic, INNOVATION (click here to read it for free).

He had come across the Innovation website and was curious to learn more about the process of putting together a webcomic, working with artists and the exercise in project management that comes along with such a project.

It’s a quick 15 minute conversation, but hopefully you’ll learn something!

I appreciate Marcel having me on the show!

How to Write Comics

There must be something in the water this week. Lots of writers are spreading their knowledge in regards to writing comics and if it’s something you’re genuinely interested in, then there’s some great info in the following articles:

If I missed any solid articles, let me know!

Dialogue

I’m not sure how this slipped through the cracks, but a month ago I did a column on Dialogue for my comic book writing column, Right Place at the Write Time, which I contribute for the website Fanboy Buzz.

It’s a few scattered thoughts on how a writer makes his or her mark on a comic along with some tips and tricks for shoving all those words into those tiny balloon things. It also includes some of the rules that I’ve learned as I’m stumbled and fumbled my way through comics thus far.

I hope it’s helpful!

The Best Worst Advice

A few days ago, I wrote a new installment of my comics writing column for Fanboy Buzz, Right Place at the Write Time, in which I discussed my thoughts on some famous words of advice from Robert Kirkman. It falls a bit out of the timeline that I had planned, but I was feeling passionate about the material.

Check it out right here: Right Place at the Write Time #7: The Best Worst Advice

Give it a read and feel free to share your thoughts!

Storytelling Styles and Pacing

In an attempt to keep some momentum going with my comic book writing column, Right Place at the Write Time, I’ve added a new article about Storytelling Styles and Pacing.

In this column I start the dissection of the comic book page and over the course of the next few installments I’ll be exploring all of the different elements that you should keep in mind as a writer. I hope it’s as much fun to read as it was to write!

Give it a read over on Fanboy Buzz. I hope you find it helpful!
Stay tuned for more!
